Extracurricular programme: School of football

The extracurricular programme “School of football” has been carried out since August 2010 by four assistants of the incubator; three coaches have obtained the title “Coach C”, thus the UEFA C licence which is necessary for working with young football players.
The participants of the School of football have obtained the bases of team-work, such as discipline, self-criticism, punctuality, responsibility, tolerance. Non-Roma children are included in the activities of the school of football as well. They are local children, and the project thus contributes to the improvement of the intercultural dialogue between Roma and Non-Roma children. Sometimes the “School of Football”-players also take part in tournaments abroad.
These are important because through them children build ties with peers in foreign languages, too. Furthermore they improve their communication skills and thus their motivation for studying foreign languages increases. Such meetings and tournaments are also a contribution to the promotion of the school of football in the local environment, which is why the interest for enrolling into this school has risen among the Roma population, as well as among the majority population. Within the framework of the school of football, lectures for trainers were organized as well.
